Drop-off Site Coordinators
Growing Native provides fabulous opportunities to create partnerships that benefit many participants, as well as your local creek, stream, or focus watershed. By working together, a partnership of organizations can provide more time, personnel, and financial resources than any one group alone.
That said, be sure to have a clear understanding of everyone’s role. The following
suggestions are provided as a guide, and should be tailored to suit individual groups.
One key volunteer coordinator should be responsible for:
- Recruiting and organizing volunteers through publicity
- Providing training
- Deciding on a collection site
- Overseeing the project as a whole
- Creating a database with information on all volunteer groups (including names, contact information, sites, species collected, etc.)
